Sometimes described as the “clowns of the sea” or “sea parrots”, these adorably stocky little English seabirds are full of character and sass. A bird I long to someday be lucky enough to meet in real life! Here I tried to capture the quirky personality of this puffin by adding a touch of splashy coastal blues and sandy tones in this traditional style watercolour painting. The puffin symbolises love, resilience and community, representing lifelong companionship and strong devotion to family.
This single sided, full colour print is on A4 (297mm x 210mm), 250gsm white paper in a matte ink finish.
